Sure Electronics DE-DD13111 High Power RGBY LED Driver with Audio Sync

Creating an audio synchronized light show is made easy with this RGB LED driver with audio sync. As a four channel color organ, the audio input signal is filtered into one of four categories by frequency: low, medium, medium-high, and high. Each frequency category is then assigned a specific pulse width modulated output that feeds to the 4 x 1W quadcolor LED board for power and control. See below for frequency divisions and default color assignment. Requires 12 VDC power supply (sold separately). Eight pin interface cable included.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from needs more supportso let be clear is not an audio controlled color organ. the colors don't really change they add or subtract basted on the volume of the input. they say you can program this but i have not got that far better off buying an Arduino and using the PWW out on the board for the lights

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be BetterI purchased this a few weeks ago and just did set it up. The LED is very bright and lights a room well. What I do not like is you cannot control the brilliance of the RGBW, the Blue and White LEDs over powers the Red and Green to the point they are not seen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Concept good but poor execution.Thinking this would do a good job of lighting a rotating fiber optics globe. Did a test to check operation with the matching 4 color led driver. The green light immediately comes on full and stays on. The other leds blinked and went off. Applying stereo a sound source made the three leds flash as expected with intensity and frequency separation. The green led just stays on full brilliance. These are very bright 1 watt lights.No way to adjust the gain without the USB interface board. The leds do get hot. Not user friendly at all. No instructions with either unit. Had to DL the PDF files from Sure site. The links are broken on Parts-Express site. Not worth sending back for a refund because of the shipping costs. Out $33.00, I will not buy another Sure Electronics product.

Has anyone ever successfully used a DE-DD13111 LED Driver, and a LE-LL21112 Quadcolor LED Driver Board to power a RGB LED 16 ft. Tape Lighting Strip? How long of a Lighting Strip section can each LE-LL21112 Driver Board handle?

Is there a schematic included in the instructions?

I too would like to use this module to power my own LED strings. Your suggestion to buy the LED module and then tap off to use other LED's seems reasonable, but a pinout/schematic would also help in customization.

There is a lot of information with the .pdf instructions, including the schematics and wiring diagrams for each module. I believe that these units are more flexible than in the basic description.

I have the LED strips...would this work with the strips? or do they make anything that would be able to work without making from scratch?

This board is intended for decoding sound into light controlling sequences. To do anything, you need to get the RGBY emitter board, or just the kit with both, and you will be able to run the RBG strips with a jack off of the emitter board itself. I am not sure if there is any other way. I hope that this helps!!!
