Sure Electronics AA-AB32174 2x50W TDA7492 Class-D Amplifier Board

This amplifier board features a state-of-the-art, dual channel Class-D TDA7492 IC, which delivers up to 50 watts per channel. The small 3.6" wide by 4.8" long footprint allows this amplifier board to be used in many applications were size constraints limit the use of conventional amplifiers. Just add a 14 to 27 VDC power supply, signal source, and speakers!

A low noise cooling fan is mounted atop the robust heatsink to maximize heat dissipation. Thermal protection is also included to extend the longevity of the amplifier board. Four fixed gain settings are available to allow for volume control at the source, and stereo RCA line-level inputs are pre-attached. Mounting holes are provided as is a 2.5 mm x 5.5 mm power jack for quick connection. Screw-down phoenix-type terminals are included for quick speaker wire connection.

Sure Electronics AA-AB32174 2x50W TDA7492 Class-D Amplifier Board
Sure Electronics AA-AB32174 2x50W TDA7492 Class-D Amplifier Board is rated 4.3571 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor sound quality, unreliableThis amp hissed badly, even after attempts to filter out any ground loop contamination. It stopped functioning completely after only a week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of juice for my bookshelf speakersI've got this amp running a pair of 4 ohm bookshelf speakers and it works great. I've monitored the temperature and it barely gets warm after a couple hours of playback at moderate volume. One thing to note is that the fan will continue to run even when if the amp is put into standby mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works just fine!Arrived sooner than I expected. Using it to power external speakers for my new flat screen TV. Put a 100k pot between amp and TV for safety. Powering it with a 20 volt 4.5 amp laptop power brick. Amp and brick housed in a plastic project box with a lot of holes drilled in for vents. Sounds just great. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. And the price can't be beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but powerfulI purchased this amp for a custom portable speaker install. It works great and is very easy to wire. Sound is very clear. Just hook up power, RCA inputs, and a speaker. Will work with any source with RCA outputs (ie. 3.5mm to RCA headphone wire, DVD player, etc.)

New DIYer here.   Is this amp compatible with 2x25W 8ohm speakers --- PE Overnight Sensations?  Not sure which amp is best off the PE website given the ohm mismatch.

Asked by: downerz23
This amp would have no problem driving that speaker at all. It is an excellent match for this application.

Since the recommended power supply to this amp is out of stock, the Sure Electronics PS-SP11115, and I cannot wait for it to restock, what power supply do you recommend to this amp?

Asked by: 2ndBear
The power supply below will also work for this amplifier.http://www.parts-express.com/sure-electronics-ps-sp11184-24-vdc-88a-200w-regulated-switching-power-supply--320-3140

Hi. I want to use this amp to power a pair of bookshelves using the HP-5210 5-1/4" woofer and the Vifa XT25SC90-04 Ring Radiator Tweeter. Is the power appropriate? Any other unforseen problems? Thanks

I am going to build a little hifi system but wanted to run it in a sealed walnut box.  Would this work or would i be better off getting the other 50x2 that doesnt have a fan?

Asked by: mattghfjhfkjhv
Either option will require venting to help dissipate heat.

How do I add a volume control knob to this board?

Asked by: Myronus101709
Gotta disagree with MattW on this.Putting a pot on the outputs would quickly destroy the pot and possibly be harmful to the amp, itself. AnL-pad, which is designed for controlling speaker volume would theoretically work when connected to the output stage, but controlling the amp output is more appropriately accomplished by using a pot at the amp INPUT.
