Clearance for excursion?
I thought about using these for the Peerless SLS10, but am concerned the speakers large surround & excursion would make contact with this grill. Can you confirm if this would happen, or is there enough clearance?
The distance from the rear of the mounting flange on the woofer to the peak of the surround is ~10.2mm and the grill stands about 13mm. This will probably not be enough room for full excursion.

does the ring go on first or the speaker, and where do the clips go?
the "ring" goes on top. the screws go through the ring to mount the speaker. the grill snaps on over the ring. no clips involved.

Folks might want to know- What type of mesh? Wire? Perforated sheet ? If perfed, Gauge ? Total depth ? PE rocks the Casbah!
This grill is not a wire mesh, it is a perforated sheet. Unfortunately, I don't have a specification on the gauge of the material, nor do I have an accurate means of measuring such a thing. The overall depth is approximately 13/16".
