Speaker Surround Re-Foam Repair Kit For 10" Speaker
the video is for a hard cone...my cone is paper. so I still do it the same way as the one in the video? Do I still take center cap out? I already bought your kit, just not sure due to paper cone.
Yes, the procedure is the same regardless of cone type. Paper might be a little more fragile than a poly cone, so try not to damage it getting the old foam off. The center cap will still need to be removed in order to shim the cone and center the voice coil.

Can this be used on a passive radiator? For a passive radiator, there's no need to remove the dustcap or use shims, because there's nothing to align, correct? Is it really necessary to remove the driver from the cabinet?
Yes this can be used on a passive radiator as long as the dimensions match up. There is no need to remove the dust cap or the driver from the cabinet, but it will make maneuvering easier.

Do you have to replace the dust caps if they don't look like they are damaged?
The dust caps need to be removed in order to shim the cone to keep the voice coil centered. Even if they look fine, they will still need to be removed and replaced.
