from a great product for its intended use and ideasI bought this product 2 weeks ago not to use as a port but to make a powerful tweeter fit to my design and it fit the bill right at 2 inches and boy it does a great job with a 1 1/8 tweeter that was also provided by Parts Expressnow I have a small but powerful press-fit tweeter that looks very nice and cleanand yes it does become1 1/4 at the which made it perfect.to make this work I filled in the hollow ring with epoxy so the screw can have a good path before drilling. I use the original face plate as a template. Parts Express has what you need and even for creativity.

from not much choice for this sizeNot a fan of this press fit - but there's not much choice here. And I don't get the taper. I suppose in the big picture you won't notice any discrepancy if you trim it and mis-estimate the average in simulations. (actual ID is 1" - 1 /4" , not counting the flare )If you can squeeze in a 1 3/8" port, I'd go for the 2 piece adjustable port, (which is also somehow cheaper !). I'll consider that first next time.1 15/16" hole on my jaspar jig was perfect

from Strange port, but it worksI like the fact that the port is flared, but it is only flared on the outside, and one thing that struck me as odd is the port is actually tapered, meaning that the diameter of the port continually gets larger from the inside end to the outside end. This makes it difficult to tune via computer program and you have to do some experimentation. Also, the flange part is preceeded by mounting grooves as can be seen in the picture. The diameter of the mounting grooves is almost the same as the diameter of the flange at the end, so if you don't have a circular cutting bit with exactly the right diameter, the ports are going to be hard to fit. I would not buy this port again but would instead look for something flanged at both ends with a non-tapered inside.

from Stylish Port Tube Makes Any Cabinet Look GreatThis Is A Nice Style Of Port Tube! When Installed, It Offers A Nice Sleek Look Without The Large Outer Mounting Ring Some Tubes Have!Care Must Be Used In Cutting Out The Holes For This Style Of Tube. They Are A Press Fit, So If The Hole Is A Bit Large, You Have A Problem!
