from Solid caseThis is and average case that will get the job done. That being said however, It's not up to the quality of my other SKB cases. This case has pre-tapped holes on the rails for mounting your gear rather than big holes with the rail clips that I am used to. The case itself does not feel as sturdy as my other cases, so hopefully it will withstand the normal abuse that this case should. Now I DO like the change to the back panel. My older cases have a smaller cover that has rotating knobs that hold it in place. This case has locking clips on the front and back of the case. A big improvement in my opinion as the one of my older cases had one of the tabs on the knob break off. Over all, I say this case gets the job done. It could be better but it is the low end SKB case.

from Lightweight and afordableI bought this rack style case to hold two new amps that I had just bought. I went with a 6U rack so I could also add a power conditioner. First of all, the bag the mounting screws were in had a hole in it and the screws were in all the nooks and crannies of the case. This rack also uses pre-tapped holes for mounting unlike my other SKB cases that use threaded clips that you put over the hole and adjust as needed. So the amps and power conditioner only lined up on two holes. I imagine that will be good enough as I'm pretty careful about how my equipment it handled. But just a fair warning to any one else looking at this case. Also, Kudos to Parts Express for fast and damage free shipping.

from Solves more problems than it creates.I bought this for two reasons. 1) it was lighter than the plywood/fibreglass road case I was using. 2) It's SKB.It IS, in fact, lighter than my previous case. Makes a big difference when I'm schlepping hardware to and from a gig every weekend. It's robust enough that it can take a beating from some of the club grips where I have to set up, and there's enough space in the cabinet ventilation isn't an issue for some of my warmer toys. Stacks; opens and closes with a twist. So, setup on a time compressed gig is quicker. Molded case has rounded corners, without corner covers. And it takes up about the same space in the truck as the 4 space case it replaced. That translates into fewer cases. More equipment, same space, same weight in the truck.Hardware is mounted to the case with rivets. Hardware isn't as robust as the previous case, but SKB service is excellent. I don't expect any problems. To be clear, I've had no issues with the hardware that's mounted on the case. Just saying.Rails fore and aft. Strong rails, mounted substantially.Good, inexpensive solution when you need a case. I definitely recommend it for real world work.
