Once again, Shure leads the pack in innovation with the GLXD Series of Digital Wireless Systems. Cutting-edge LINKFREQ automatic frequency management and rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are among the groundbreaking features, and of course, you can also expect Shure's legendary sound, delivered in astonishingly clear digital quality.
The GLXD14/B98 digital wireless instrument mic system is unlike anything you've used before. GLX-D Series components use proprietary LINKFREQ technology to automatically choose and manage frequencies, so no setup is required. Simply turn on the components, and they automatically sync to the clearest frequency for each situation.
The GLXD4 receiver has all the standard features you've come to expect from Shure, like 1/4" and XLR outputs, flawless reliability, and rugged, road-ready construction. Operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, up to 8 systems can operate simultaneously without interference. New, innovative features include a bright, high resolution LCD display which shows everything you need to know in an easy to read format. Frequency information is shown, as well as signal quality, audio level, and the gain setting. The transmitter's gain is set from the receiver with the simple push of a button, so you needn't worry about fumbling with dipswitches or tiny little screwdrivers (which always seem to get lost, don't they?). The battery status for the transmitter is shown in real-time, in hours and minutes remaining, so you always know when you need to recharge or switch batteries. The GLXD4 also features a handy charging slot for the GLX-D's SB902 lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack. An LED indicator lets you know if the battery is charged, nearly charged, or still charging. And you'll save lots of money not having to buy new batteries every week or two.
The GLXD1 bodypack transmitter is ergonomically designed, and features a reversible belt clip so it can be worn comfortably and securely in a variety of positions and locations. The GLXD1 includes the SB902 rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, which can provide up to 16 hours of continuous use on a single full charge (or approximately 1.5 hours from a 15-minute quick charge). Various charging apparatus and spare batteries are available separately (see "Related Products"), so you can always be ready to take the stage.
With the included carrying case, and packed chock full of awesome features, the GLXD14/B98 system is excellent for wind instruments, percussion, or virtually any acoustic instrumentalist who desires mobility while retaining superb sound quality.
