Rated 5 out of 5 by from great crisp featuresI have a set of vintage genesis G210s speakers& they are 32yrs old.I added these as a upgrade& now with super tweeters the sound that they produce is remarkable very crisp highs and with no breaking points with the volume increases, they really are a great sounding speaker&its also better that no crossovers are required, these are must buy,you wont be dsappointed,I highly recommend these for a great sound&price that makes it all that much sweeter, super tweeter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent PA supertweeter for large-room sound reinforcementWe use these ST350s, as supertweeters in a very large, very complex tri-amped PA system... two EAW dual-18" cabinets loaded with Eminence Omega 18" per side, two JBL 4648A cabinets, each loaded with dual JBL 2226 15" midbass drivers, per side, two Renkus-Heinz 2" horns stacked on top, per side, tri-amplified with a DBX Driverack using a total of about 8800 watts of system power between the three sections (18" subs, 15" midbass, 15" horns and supertweeters, on respective amps). The ST350s are used in a dual-driver array (mounted on an "arrow-shaped" angled baffle, having the tweeters faced slightly away from each other, to spread coverage), with simply a small cap (about 1uf) to filter the tweeter to a range of about 12KHz and up. With the supertweeters, this system can be easily tuned to have absolutely flat response up to 19KHz, with almost no EQ required. Not only can it do this, but the sound is incredibly SMOOTH and balanced- no hint of sibilance or steely harshness. It really sounds a lot like a huge, extremely-high-output, high-fidelity system, in the upper treble. Quite remarkable- there's very few cases that this is EVER possible, at these output levels (approaching 140dB @ 1m distance, per channel)... this tweeter used in this way, does it with ease. It would be a value if it cost 3x this much, compared with other products that are specified for this type of service...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT HIGHS AND CLAIRITYI needed some highs and crispness to my 3-way home stereo system. The ST-350s delivered all the way. If I could change anything, it would be crossing them over at 4000hz instead of 5000hz as recommended. They can get a little sizzley on some music, but thats what super-tweeters are designed for. I am VERY HAPPY GOOD VALUE

Wiring quesiton

Hey, With this super tweeter would i need to add a crossover or inline filter on the positive side? How would this work? I dont want to run straight positive and negative wire from the tweeter to the amp without some kind of filter because I dont want the tweeter to be blown. So whats the best thing for me to do?
Asked by: baseballboy2552
Yes, you need to add a minimum of a 6db crossover to protect the tweeter. 4 microfarad at least for a 5000 hz crossover - but it all depends what speaker you are adding it to. You may want to adjust that to balance to that speaker correctly. Also, you will most likely need an L-Pad as this tweeter most likely is much more efficient than most speakers.

how to hook up

since these are 8ohm tweeters would you hook them up the same as you do 2 svc 8 ohm subs or different?
Asked by: livinloud
This tweeter would be connected in the same manner as any other speaker. The positive and negative terminals should be connected to the corresponding terminals on your crossover.
