Selenium HM3950-SLF 2" Bi-Radial Horn 60x30 4-Bolt
How does a Bi-Radial differ from a Constant Directivity?
I'm designing a large format 3 way live sound system, but i need it to be modular depending on size needs of the venue. I'm looking at stacking one box on the subs for small to medium venues and two on top of the subs side-by-side for larger venues. Would a CD or a Bi-R work better side by side in trapezoidal boxes?
This 30 X 60 degree horn would well as a single or side by side application. Since the horn has a 2" throat, you can cross the driver over at a lower point and there will be less reflection on the walls & rear of the room [s]. I have had good success with the Eminence 2" driver. At any rate, I also suggest a crossover at 1000 Hz or higher for a 3 way system. I used that for many shows and never fried one. The other horns you are considering, are fine, but not as efficient in side by side applications. Reflections are greater--echo.
