Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice horn. made of good material.this horn is well built of fairly thick plastic. worked very well with the GRS PZ1188 Piezo Horn Driver Similar to KSN1188A, which was my choice of a driver. i would definitely purchase the pair again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sounding hornI was a little skeptical about the sound of a plastic horn, but it sound very nice. I believe this horn is best suited for midrange use. I used this to replace the 6 inch cone drivers on a Cerwin Vega H15. All they needed was about 1/8th trimmed off the screw flanges and they fit right into the 6 inch cutouts. I used these with a Selenium DX250 to handle the midrange.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing !!!!Being used to professional grade horns at astronomical prices, I was naturally quite skeptical with cheap horns. The first thing I did was to try it out with different compression drivers to find the best match. Surprisingly, a budget priced Pyle PDS221 works wonderfully with this horn. After listening to the horn at various crossover frequencies, I eventually settled on 2,250Hz (18dB/oct). Next comes tuning the horn. Once it's properly equalized, the sound is superb. There's no dreaded honking, coloration and unmanageable peaks. The Pyle PDS221 with Selenium's HL14-25 beats any HiFi tweeters for the same price. This is an awakening. There was a time when cheap compression drivers and cheap horns are synonymous with disaster. Not any more. The quality has improved tremendously since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality at a really good priceI was skeptical because of low price, but it's a high quality unit. Sturdy with high quality materials, and finish. It is made in Brazil, and provided specifications were in Portugese/Spanish. No English data online either.

what happen if i use it at 500hz?how it will sound?thanks

Asked by: thedeaf
The horn will not support any wavelength below 600 Hz so it simply will not reproduce it, or it will sound distorted.

Construction Material

This product came up by selecting the aluminum material filter, but it does not say anywhere in the product description or details what material this horn is made from. Can someone confirm that this is aluminum?
Asked by: Gator213
This is actually a mistake on the website attributes filter. This horn is in fact ABS plastic.
