Selenium ADF25-25 Horn Adapter
Selenium ADF25-25 Horn Adapter is rated 4.2941 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable enough for their purposeThis fits the Altec Lansing 1 1/2" 288, 289, 290 drivers, not the smaller 3 bolt JBL for 175, 275 1" throat heritage drivers for "potato masher" lens or 2345 radials. It was easy to drill out to fit, however. Looks and feels solid enough to last so long as it isn't bashed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SolidEven after drilling holes to mount up to a "special" horn, it held the driver very solid. A little sanding to make the throat holes smooth and line up ( I drilled with out a jig, my fault not the adapter ) and every thing came out great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good adapterI found this adapter could be improved if selenium/jbl would drill two more holes for 2 screw horns. It has tough plastic and i was able to drill the holes out and used car putty to reinforce the screws.. worked good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you are not lazy this adapter is perfect!I needed to replace the tweets in a pair of vintage EAW speakers that I use as my primary mains every week, and I wanted to preserve the classic look of the huge bullet shaped horn baffler. The tech staff at Parts Express was very helpful at steering me towards this adapter and an excellent Selenium tweet! I did need to drill 4 holes (took less than 5 minutes)and bolt the adapter to the original mounting plate to make it work. I was so pleased to be able to keep the look and not alter the 2 bolt mount to the classic aluminum horn lens! Ignore the negative reviews on this product, If you've got 5 minutes this adapter will work very well :D

Selenium ADF25-25 Horn Adapter

Will these work converting a peizo horn into a driver HF Horn... removing the top of peizo, dumping the guts and bolting these on?

Asked by: DMSLV
A lot of parts can be modified and forced to connect - however, dismantling a piezo and mating it to this flange and a larger horn is not a good idea. The piezo isn't designed for that purpose. If you prefer a larger horn, make sure to get the proper driver to match.

Looking for specs regarding hole placement. Perhaps a template that a prospective customer can print would be useful to facilitating sales.

I think I found somethings that will help me refurbish an old speaker system. It maybe most of your customers already know that these fit a standard that I'm not familiar with. For the uninformed a downloadable template would be great. I'm trying to replace a tweeter in a Realistic Mach One speaker cabinet.

The center-to-center measurement on the holes as indicated in your drawing is 2.80", and the overall diameter of the adapter is approximately 4".
