from Affordable and AcceptableThis is a very affordable and acceptable product to give your speakers a great finished look. The binding posts are very nice quality. The foam gasket on the rear makes for a nice sealed installation.Details:-1/4" Male quick connect tabs on the back with NO polarity markings. Also the metal is flimsy so take care putting on tight fitting female connectors.-The mounting holes are recessed for a #6 Pan Head Screw to fits (#8 Might fit but be very very tight fit for fitting into the recess)-There are also board mounting slots on back that accept 0.1" thick 2-7/8" wide (the slots are 7/8" long). (See Photo 1)-I looked at the thread wear in the binding post cup and it seems to be copper under the nickel plate. (See Photo 2)Mounting Notes:Face Mounting3-1/8" DIA cut out gives plenty of play on centering into the hole, which can make your mounting holes close to edge. I would use a 3-1/16" DIA hole without a problem or a 3" DIA hole with a little sanding for a tight fit. The depth of the cup is a hair bigger than 13/16" (without Gasket or tabs).Flush MountingThe 4-1/8" OD is a very tight fit and might ruin your paint job when trying to flush mount. Measured without gasket the face is 1/8" thick. I used a router and jig to cut a 3-3/16" DIA hole then used 1/2" rabbeting bit 0.152" deep.
