Replacement Speaker Driver for Bose 901 4-1/2" 1 Ohm
Is this the same 4" door speaker used in the 2001 Audi A4 Bose system?
Unfortunately, we do not have a cross-reference by vehicle make, model, year, or anything of the sort. If your Audi featured Bose 901 speakers, or a similar model of the same physical dimensions we have listed with a 1 ohm impedance rating, then this speaker should be suitable for your application. Aside from that, I cannot be more specific about what this speaker will or will not replace.

I need to replace some of the series one '901'speakers -would these work?
No series ones and twos drivers were 8 ohm each. 3 sets of 3 s/p wired to nominal 8 ohm

Will these work with a swapout of my Car Bose System?
I have a 2006 Nissan Armada with a Bose system. The dash 3" tweeters went out on me. Will these be the speakers to swap themout for? Is the wiring the same attachment as bose?
These drivers are designed to replace the drivers in Bose 901 and Bose Panaray 802 speakers only. They are probably not suitable for replacing your car speakers; consult your Nissan dealer to obtain the correct replacements for your Bose audio system, since it is a Nissan vehicle and they will have the parts.

Is this suitable for a Bose Lifestyle outdoor speaker? It looks the same size etc.
Bose made many similar-looking loudspeaker drivers for use in their products, but they have very different specifications. The specification that will most greatly impact your application is impedance. For a normal amplifier, usually 8 ohms is the minimum recommended impedance. In the Bose 901, the nine drivers are wired in series, so the impedance of each driver adds together to create a total of 9 ohms (at 1 ohm per driver). However, if you take one of these drivers and use it by itself, your amplifier will only see the 1-ohm impedance, and it will try to drive too much current into the load, and it will be overloaded. This may damage your amplifier, so be careful. You may need to obtain a purpose-designed replacement from Bose. However, if the driver is not blown and only needs a new foam cone edge (or "surround") to replace a cracked or deteriorated one, we do sell replacement foam edge kits, or you can have our Speaker Repair Center do the job, probably for less than a replacement driver will cost.

Will this driver fit in the Bose Roommate 2 case? If not, are there any drivers (or a kit) that you recommend?
If this driver fits 901's it will fit in Room Mate II's. Both stock drivers use the same bolt circle. The impedance of stock RMII drivers is about 1.5 to 1.7 ohms so the amp will probably remain stable. Bose did a lot of low impedance drivers in self-powered products. It allows for a physically smaller amplifier. How this driver will sound in RMII's remains to be seen. Or more accurately, heard. Bose self powered products use active eq. specifically tailored to the driver. My guess is it would probably sound acceptable.

can this driver be used as a replacement in the Panaray 802 (weatherproofing aside)?
To answer your question, yes you can use these as replacements for the Panaray 802's because I've done just that. The Panaray 802 is basically a 901 without the 9th driver in the rear. I'll post some pictures and my review pretty soon.
