RCA WHP141B Wireless Headphones
Break the chain of headphone cables with RCA's WHP141 stereo wireless headphones. PLL technology is featured on both the transmitter and headphones lock in the transmitting frequency for crystal clear reception. Frequency interference is reduced with three selectable channels. Unlike IR (infrared) headphones that require line-of-sight between the headphones and transmitter base, the WHP141s offer accurate signal transmission using radio frequency for total freedom of movement up to 150 ft. from the transmitter—through walls, doors, and ceilings. 40 mm headphone drivers are used for a wide frequency response of 30-12,500 Hz. RCA WHP141B Wireless Headphones
RCA WHP141B Wireless Headphones is rated 3.5714 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Read The Manual!I purchased these headphones several months ago and had to send them back because I could not get the base to power on. In talking to tech support they agreed that the unit was defective and to return it for a replacement. The replacement did the exact same thing. Just by accident I was able to get it to work by turning up the volume of the source audio. I had read the manual but the section describing the need to have at least some audio signal coming in, which then triggers the power circuit to come on, was not as clear as I feel it should be. Reducing the volume below a certain level will cause the base to power off. That's too bad since sometimes it is necessary to listen at low settings. After figuring all that out the headphones have been functioning nicely. The audio quality is not really Hi-Fi but not bad either. They are lightweight but because of that are also a little flimsy. I doubt if these will last more than a year. Instead of this model I would suggest the higher priced alternatives such as the Sennheiser models. Just wish tech support knew a little more about these because it would have saved me about a month of time, and the headache of packing and shipping the "defective" unit back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good headphonesOverall, I'm highly satisfied with these. The only problem I've had so far, the first sat of batteries only lasted 5 hours on a charge, while my older RCA phones would last several months on the same pair of batteries. I'm reserving final judgement until I try a set of new batteries and see if they last longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value, one minor problemUpon receiving these headphones my wife tried to put in the supplied batteries. That is the only problem she found with the headphones, getting into the battery compartment is a major PIA, she could not and neither could I. So we called up Parts Express and they replaced the headset, allowing cross-shipping and even paid for the return. Upon receiving the second headset, same problem, However this time my wife pleaded, enough, just open the compartment anyway I could. She was not about to ask Parts Express to replace them again for something that is a minor design flaw, opening the battery compartment. I did get it open without damage and nowShe loves her headset, wears them because I have to get to sleep early. I can tell you I do not hear any sound from them and she is very contented listening to her white noise - the TV.I even tried them out and these are really great and excellent sound. While they are not 400 dollar headphones, they are an excellent value for our purposes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for dollar valueI have had a set of the WHP151 headphones for 5 years. Still have the original rechargable batterries in them.Have never had a battery problem and have worn them for hours. They look the same as the new WHP141

Rated 2 out of 5 by from earphones good, headband brokeI bought a set of wireless RCA headphones about 2 years ago, sill working great, use 1 to 3 x's a month. Last time I used them the plastic headbandbroke in two, making them worthless. The store where I bought them no longer carries them so I'mleft with broken $75 earphones. Think I'll buy a different brand next time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the product advertised! Please change the photos and the features advertised on the website to match the newer version of this model. I ordered this model (WHP 141), and although the invoice showed the correct model number, I was originally sent the WHP 151 model, which includes a rechargeable base for the headphones (with a very different look and functionality than what is supposed to be included with the WHP 141 model you are advertising online), and rechargeable batteries.I contacted the company to arrange for correction the order, and returned the original shipment as instructed. I just received the "corrected" order today, but was again disappointed. The correct model number was on the new packaging, but the features are the same as the WHP 151 model. Apparently RCA upgraded the WHP 141 to match the WHP 151, before discontinuing the model, but your website is still advertising the older version. I have a couple of the older version already in my home, and wanted more of the same. I wanted the additional headphones to work with the older sets, and they will probably all work together using one of the transmitters from the new sets. However, I also specifically wanted to avoid having to use rechargeable batteries, which is what the manufacturer both recommends for use with the product, and provides with it. Having to wait for batteries to recharge in order to continue to use the headset is more of a pain than it's worth, and you'd have to have more transmitter bases set up to accommodate multiple headsets, so I'd rather continue to use disposable batteries, but I'm afraid those may ultimately damage the units, since RCA recommends rechargeables. Guess I'm just stuck with the newer rechargeable version anyway......

Will these work with a Sirius Satellite Radio Boombox?

Asked by: kent
These should work just fine if you have a headphone por. They do have a 3.5mm plug, so if your headphone port is 1/4" like mine, you'll have to get an adaptor. I got a right angle adaptor at Radio Shack for $3.99; I like it because I don't have a plug sticking way out into the room.
