RCA ANT751R Digital Compact Outdoor HDTV Yagi Antenna
RCA ANT751R Digital Compact Outdoor HDTV Yagi Antenna is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value AntennaI installed it on the side of my house and used previous coax for cable to run from antenna to splitter and two TVs. There are broadcast towers 23 mi SE of my house and I pick up all signals well. I have over '60' channels but some are a little scrambled and I don't know what they are even, but the main broadcasts are picked up fine. Easy to assemble and mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Potentially end your cable bill. This is an outdoor Antenna, but I'm using it indoors due to limitations on drilling holes into the living unit. This review takes that into account. To start: Unfold the Antenna from the box and follow the instructions to assemble the rest of the components together. It really is relatively compact for an outdoor Antenna and can be placed anywhere in the home. I first set it up in the basement, just to see how well it would work and I was amazed to get up to 9 HDTV channels with great quality. I eventually settled on a placement in an upstairs bedroom.I also have an FM tuner hooked up to the Antenna and the reception is just great. I currently get 7 solid HDTV stations from my location, so it's not hard to imagine how many more I'd get if the Antenna was outside and aimed properly. It features powerful HDTV and FM reception (even from inside a basement). It's also an excellent value currently (thanks to Parts Express).I'm personally done with subscribing to cable now and you all shouldn't hesitate to check out the 'RCA ANT751R Digital Compact Outdoor HDTV Yagi Antenna'.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HDTV antenna in Omaha, NEThis product comes complete and is of good quality. I installed in a customers home in the attic and ran rg-6 to the cable box to utilize the house wiring and splitter. All worked perfect and the signal was at 100% even when split 4 ways. I was worried I would need an amp but it was not necessary. The customers home is within 15 miles of the transmitters but it should be good to 40+ miles. Be sure to know the location of the transmitters in your area to point the antenna for best reception as this is a highly directional design.Look up on antenna point to locate the towers in relation to the zip code you are servicing.

is the matching transformer a simple 300 ohm to 75 ohm part that is widely available for replacement, OR, is it a special transformer for the ant751r only? thanx!

Asked by: majorjer
Yes it is a 300 ohm to 75 ohm matching transformer, nothing special for this antenna specifically.

Do I need the DTV box or can it be connected to the TV without the boxes?

Asked by: Regal
The antenna does not require a box as long as the TV has a digital tuner that can handle HDTV signals that are broadcast over the air. If the TV does not have a digital tuner for HDTV signals then you would also need a DTV box like our Part # 210-400.

What is the cable connection?

Asked by: Mosknows
This comes with a 75 ohm matching transformer so you would just use a standard coaxial F connector to connect this.

I live in an apartment which has window guards. can this antenna be clamped to a window guard?

Asked by: Room513
I do not know if window guards are a standard device (always the same everywhere), so I cannot predict if mounting this antenna to those on your windows can be done or not.
