Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK medi-okerPast experience with this Rayovac type. Good all purpose battery but If forgotten left on, expample Mic's, they tend to LEAK!! Rayovac's newer "ADVANCED" for just a few pennies more but well worth it. Pro series also cost a little more... But darn well worth it. Truth be known I'm a Rayovac person. I have had less damaged or very few leakers over the years, 100's to 1000's of battery use with Rayovac VS Duracells. Duracells are HIGHER priced but I have had dead ones right out of the package and many leakers. Much better luck with Rayovac's

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the line 9v batteriesYes--I did sacrifice one for a stress test. When you deal with wireless mics--a dead battery in the middle of a set is not good. So I took two mics, one with these and one with the batteries that cost double. After 9hrs of use, both still had 300' of range outdoors--both transmitted a rock station music/speech on a portable FM radio. I could go over the volts etc but no need--THESE WORK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great valueWho cannot use 9 Volt batteries? I added these on to make my free shipping. Taking that in account they were almost free. Owning apartment buildings I have to keep a log of when I change batteries in the smoke detectors. Beats grabbing a twin pack for $5-$6 bucks at the store.

Could these power a 12v VU meter?

Hi there,I am thinking about purchasing a backlit analog VU meter that calls for between 10v-15v as it's power source (more specs below and image attached). I would love to be able to power it using a simple 9v battery and easily switch the battery out when its drained. Any idea if this is possible with the information provided? Would it be able to function decently with 9 volts? I should note that I'm not looking for ideal operation of the VU meter, just looking to make it functional. Thanks for any help!High Quality VU METER driver board Circuit Board Stereo module dynamic pressdynamic press device based :example input 1V output 1V,Input 4V Output 2V,Input 9V Out 3V...Input sensitivity -15dBPower 12VDC 0.12APower out for backlight 10-15VDC 50mA

If the power requirements for the meter are 10-15v, a 9v battery will likely not work. You would be farther ahead using a small 12v sealed lead acid battery, or 8 AA's.
