Rayovac 9V Alkaline Battery 8-Pack
Could these power a 12v VU meter?
Hi there,I am thinking about purchasing a backlit analog VU meter that calls for between 10v-15v as it's power source (more specs below and image attached). I would love to be able to power it using a simple 9v battery and easily switch the battery out when its drained. Any idea if this is possible with the information provided? Would it be able to function decently with 9 volts? I should note that I'm not looking for ideal operation of the VU meter, just looking to make it functional. If the power requirements for the meter are 10-15v, a 9v battery will likely not work. You would be farther ahead using a small 12v sealed lead acid battery, or 8 AA's.
