Reviews

Raychem/TE Connectivity RXE075 0.75A Polyswitch
Raychem/TE Connectivity RXE075 0.75A Polyswitch is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Polyswich, various current ratingsGood part, frequently used by OEMs to protect high frequency horns.I used this part to (hopefully) help protect the (rebuilt) horns in two bass guitar speaker cabinets in which the horns had failed.Easy modification to most of the combined high-pass crossover / LPad horn controls. Most of the PCBs of these bandpass / LPad devices use single sided PCBs, are usually lightly "populated" and have some reasonable location where the Polyswitch can be installed IN SERIES with the horn. Trace the correct foil (sometimes marked "T+"), find a reasonable clear spot over that foil, drill two holes the size of the Polyswitch leads about 1/2 inchapart. Then carefully cut out and remove a narrow strip of that foil between the new holes (1/16" is enough).Install and solder in the Polyswitch using soldering heat sinks.Worth trying and much cheaper than new horn diaphrams. If dis-satisfied, remove they Polyswitch and install a piece of buss~wire.
