Pyle PSN1167 3.5" 400W Horn Piezo Tweeter Pair
Has anyone used these and had any success with it?
The Pyle Pro PSN1167 3.5" 400W Horn Piezo Tweeter Pair are a decent option if you are looking for some high end up around 13500H. and up. They have a somewhat harsh sound and can get a little whispy around 16000 Hz.In these ranges you are producing cymbals, harmonics from string instruments and the timbre of orchestra instruments, so it is subjective to you music genre as to whether this would be an acceptable trade off for the price.I have 2 speakers that are 2 - way with a horn. I use these for a small venue band PA (vocals only). They lacked some high end that didn't produce hard word sounds like "K" - "C" - "T", etc. I added 4 of these across the top of each speaker cabinet and the result cleaned up the sound. No crossover needed, cheap quick and simple fix. It gave the speakers an edge that they lacked. A better horn may have also fixed the problem, but at this price you can afford to experiment.Good Luck
