Would this product be suitable to replace a 8" 100 Watt, 6ohm mid from a 70's epi box?
for best sound don't use pa drivers in the place of home woofers they talk more than they thump, and at the age of the speakers it is time to replace the other drivers, the crossovers need to be checked and then head for the deal's section for new matching components DIY! You can surpass the quality of the old drivers for very little $ and a little cleverness

Is mid woofer Pyle Pro PMW8A 8'' suitable to replace the woofers in BOSE 301 loudspeakers (old model late '70s)? Any alternative?
MODEL BOSE 301 has woofer part number 104836
Hi, Niko. Unfortunately, we do not have a cross-reference by brand, model, or anything of the sort. If your Bose woofers are 8-1/4" overall diameter, and the cutout in your cabinets is at least 7-3/16", this speaker should fit in the cabinets. The main concern I'd have with this particular speaker is that the frequency range starts at 100Hz, so you may want something with better low frequency extension. I've referenced a few suggestions below, be sure to observe the physical dimensions to avoid having to modify your cabinets, and the impedance to avoid damaging your amplifier.
