Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pyle is PyleI have two Pyle 10"s and aren't worth even 25$. You'll need a box about the size of one for a 21" speaker you're better off buying some more expensive speakers and getting a sure fire good speaker

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They sound really good when they workI ordered two of these subs and both played for about 10 minutes and then one of them died. So, I'm waiting on my replacement sub. The low rating I gave is for the speaker not Parts Express. PE will always get a 5 STAR Rating from me. They Have Top Notch Customer Service!! Right now I'm just playing one Pyle 10 in my car and it sounds really good!! I'm looking forward to getting my replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Took about 3 minutes to die!Bought these to add a little bass to my car. Spent an afternoon wiring everything and I got about 3 minutes out of these speakers before they died. Dug some 15 year old MTX Road Thunders out of the garage and put them in the box. Sounds great now. Time to find my receipt and deal with returning these things.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One dud but 2nd one worked fineI recently bought this woofer and hooked it up in my box to a 1000W Kenwood amp and played it on about half intensity for a few hours to break it in and it just went dead. I took it inside for an ohm reading and the coil was completely shot, so I called Parts Express and explained what happened and they sent me another free of charge (and shipping). This one worked fine and i've had no problems with it (I've had it for about a month now) The snafu with the first woofer was the only reason it got a poor performance score, but if I'd give Parts Express 5 stars for their handling of the situation

What is the frequency range of this woofer? Because I want to replace an ol pyle with this, the old pyle freq range is 50hz to 5khz, that is why I want to know the frequency range of this. Thanks

Asked by: Locos3
Unfortunately Pyle does not state the frequency response of this woofer. You may be able to contact them directly although I doubt this will reach to 5kHz.

w hat is internal box(Sealed or vented?) cu' quantity?

Asked by: randy
With the Qts at 0.73, this speaker is more suited to an infinite baffle application than it would be for a ported enclosure. In fact, I would recommend against a ported enclosure for it. A sealed enclosure of about 1.5ft³ seems to be about right. That will yield a Qtc of around 0.86 and an F3 frequency of 45Hz or so. As you go larger and larger from that point, there is really very little change in the response. Go around 1.5ft³ sealed, or simply mount it free-air.
