Does this subwoofer need it's own amplifier to work correctly or can it be wired directly to the marine stereo?

Asked by: irish
You will get the most from this subwoofer by giving it its own amplifier. Powering it off the head unit will not provide much output before the head unit starts clipping.

Has anyone had a chance to run the T/S numbers on this sub yet? If so, might you recommend a sealed box size for it? TIA

Asked by: Processguy
The recommended sealed box for this woofer will be anything from 1 to 1.8 cubic feet. The larger the cabinet, the more low end efficiency you will get at the expense of power handling. You can expect an F3 of 48-50 Hz.

What is proper sealed box size for this sub? What is a good vented box for it also?

Asked by: Processguy
Unfortunately we cannot model a woofer without the proper T/S specs. Once this woofer comes in stock we will be able to measure it and provide box volumes.

What is the cutout mounting hole for this subwoofer?

Asked by: Serg
Most new speakers come with a template in the box, so you unfold the paper template and mark your hole to cut it out.You never want to cut holes in your baffles before you get your speakers. And after tracing the holes with the speaker or the template, put the speakers away in thier boxes or another room so they dont get saw dust all over them.
