Pyle PL42BL Blue Label 4" Coaxial Speaker Pair
Pyle PL42BL Blue Label 4" Coaxial Speaker Pair is rated 4.0833 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound for the priceI used these to build an ammo can "boombox" type mp3 player with the Dayton Audio DTA-2 Class T Digital Audio Amplifier Module. They sound great with most audio, but had a slight buzz/overdrive at one midrange. I probably could have fixed it with a better crossover, but just got lazy and pressed for time (the boxes were holiday gifts). Overall they were easy to install (yay for templates!), sound decent, and look appropriate for my application. Would recommend, especially at this price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You get what you pay forDecent speakers, good durability, okay audio quality and questionable power rating. The tweeter sounds too harsh to my tastes, so I removed the center column, glued a new dust cap on and mounted a separate tweeter I had next to it. Much better. I used these with a 100W 6 channel amplifier and the amp was maxing these out well before the maximum volume. Might be better to a standard 50 WPC car stereo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best $15 Speakers You Will Ever BuyThese are inexpensive speakers. You get what you pay for, right? Not in this case. Here you will get speakers that perform as well as any $50 pair. Nice, clean, crisp bass (though not deep - what do you expect from a 4 inch woofer???). Nice, clean, crisp highs. This is the go-to pair for OEM replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not just for car audio!!i purchased these along with a pair of pyramid TW18 titanium tweeters. these were wired to altec 3-way crossovers, nevermind that these are 2-way speakers. they were wired as mids and perform that way with a fair amount of highs emitted also. they sound great in my old pioneer cabinets. i am actually blown away buy the way they sound!! these were a great buy!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from has great high mids and tweetersIt's rated range is 110-20K but the bass roll off must start at like 2K, they have little bass, but thats not what they are for, they have good sound quality at any volume, and the tweets are crisp, clean, sweet and not painfull, for the money cant be beat, better than pyramids that take too much power to get any sound out of them.

Will these speakers fit in the doors of my 2000 jetta

Asked by: Zombie1
According to my reference guide the speakers in that vehicle are all 6-1/2". You will probably need an adapter in order for these to fit properly.

Any thoughts about these mated with a PFA 300 amp for a motorcycle fairing application with an Ipod source?

I have a 1998 Chevy Tracker 2dr. with just a factory radio. Will these Pyle PL42BL Blue Label 4" Coaxial Speakers work OK in all 4 places (dash and door post behind front seats) and produce clear sound with good volume.

Asked by: GTJ709
Based on my vehicle fit guide that car uses 6-1/2" speakers throughout. If you were to double check this, the Pyle's would certainly be an upgrade from factory speakers in sound quality and output.

Does anyone have a photo of the grill? What is the overall diameter of the grill?

Asked by: pquijal
The grills on these are 5-1/4" in diameter and are a plain black mesh grill with a small Pyle sticker on the bottom.
