from Well ...The saying, "it is what it is," fits this situation. At a price of $160 I wasn't expecting professional quality, so here's the scoop. When using all units at the same time there was a fair amount of frequency noise. We were at a distance of about 50-60 feet between receiver & transmitter. Having the units closer may have helped this.Inconsistent! The first headset we plugged in sounded really good - I was kind of impressed. However, the other headsets were hollow sounding and needed a lot of EQ. Same with the lapels. They were different mics so their characteristics were inconsistent from one to another. The on/off/mute and attenuator function work well but are difficult to read. Once you get it down though it isn't much of an issue.Service: My unit came with two channel two transmitters which meant you couldn't use them at the same time. Parts Express took care of the problem immediately - good customer service.Overall, my recommendation is if you can afford better - do it! For some applications this will be fine. I will not be able to use them for our intended application which was theater - too noisy and too many dropouts at this distance. However, if you are able to have the transmitters/receiver close and this is all you can afford then you are stuck. I have used worse, and for $40 per mic, well... it is what it is.
