Pyle PDW21250 21" High Power Subwoofer
Pyle PDW21250 21" High Power Subwoofer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have you heard of "the legend of el tubo" ???These subs are amazing in a 24" diameter 12' long sonotube. You can't base everything from theoretical specs. I posted this because I saw an answer discouraging their use in a TL application.Just search for "legend of el tubo"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The bomb!Used this sub as the primary low end driver on a boat application. I was concerned because it was going to be playing on the top deck of a houseboat and had no walls around it for the bass to bounce off. I opted on a down firing slot ported enclosure with about 16cu. Ft. The result was clear undistorted bass that could be heard from up to 200 yards away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic bass, smooth response! At first I was worried that this driver would sound sloppy in a dual 4" port enclosure, but I'm so glad I was wrong! When paired with two Pyle PCW10S midbasses wired in series and seven GRS 2x6" Piezo tweeters, the result is a full range speaker that's smooth down to 20Hz, all the way up to 35kHz. I am powering the 21" Pyle with a QSC GX3 with the internal 100Hz crossover activated, so that the mids and tweeters are powered by channel 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pyle 21" is large and in chargevery impressive. seems full range. its to bad people wont see it, as it will be placed in a drum riser cab placed under the drum riser, firing either up or down. allowing the drummer and the band to couple with the bass and bass drum that will be ported to it. the horn vented sides will throw the bass aperture at the crowd and smiling musicians. try it and see for your self, if you have the room that is...varg...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Yes, It's a 21 you can affordOnce again with Pyle specs are hit and miss and power handling is a bit optimistic. That said this IS a good sounding 21" sub in the proper application. The TS parameters make this one a mixed bag leaning toward a sealed enclosure in some respects but ported in others. For higher power use ported is best as I found this unit to really heat up in a smaller sealed environment. It performs best with a High Pass filter of about 25Hz with a 48db slope. It can be clean and accurate if limited and filtered correctly in a proper box. At the price how can you beat it?

Pyle PDW21250 21" High Power Subwoofer

Hi i had a cv5000 amplifier just wondering if i can parallel this two pyle PDW21250 bridged in 4 ohms?also if i can use this speaker in folder horn thanks...

Asked by: Chin73
You could run a pair of these bridged or one off of each channel and still have plenty of power available. I would not recommend using these in a folded horn application.

Would this drivers output be close to that of two 18'' drivers that have about the same x max and sensitivity ?

Asked by: TranceRaver
two 18s of the same sensitivity will have more output. When cone area doubles the sensitivity will go up by at least 3 db

I was looking at these for a home theatre build. What kind of amp and power have people been successfully running these with? My theatre room is approx. 18ft W X 30ft L and was wondering if one sub would be adequate in your opinion?

Would this woofer work in a Transmission Line Enclosure?

Asked by: Jayman72
A transmission line would not be practical for this woofer. The specs are not very appropriate for one, and the enclosure would be truly enormous to get anything reasonable from it. You would be much farther ahead using a standard sealed enclosure with EQ, or a larger vented enclosure.

What size sealed enclosure should be used for in my car

Asked by: david6395
This woofer will work well in 3-4 cubic feet sealed for a car application.
