Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD DEAL SO FARi replace a 20 yr old EV driver with this pyle and it seems to be find so far. we are running a power amp in stereo 300 watt per channel at a third of the way open (about 11 oclock) for a period of 4 hours once a week (4 sets) couldn't beat it for the money.Bill P.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb horn driver for Behringer B212XLMy Behringer B212XLs are brighter and cleaner with these. I find their 250 watt power rating a little incredulous but they work beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sounding Tweeter for the PriceI've been using Pyle Pro tweeters for years, and I've never had any problems with them. You can't only change the tweeters in your speakers, and expect the tweeters to sound good. You also have to replace the X-Over in your speakers. The Dayton Audio 2.5K X-Over works well with this tweeter. Pyle Pro has been around for 35 years, and their products are well made for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value driversWe had some Nady piezo drivers on a set of Nady PS115 speakers. Really poor drivers. Anyway - the drivers stopped working. Opened the cabinets and found out how cheap and flimsy the drivers happened to be. Found these Pyle Drivers on Parts Express and replaced the piezo drivers and made some hybrid speakers. What a difference - nice, crisp highs with good power. The only drawback was they made the cabinets heavier - but with the good sound that's coming out of them, I can live with that.

Is the pxb2 500 good for this unit? Or did I buy the wrong thing. If so can I make it to work?

Asked by: jeff the dj
A 500 Hz crossover will be too low for this driver. I would recommend the 2,500 Hz option at minimum:http://www.parts-express.com/eminence-pxb2-2k5cx-2-way-speaker-crossover-board-2500-hz--290-635

Does this unit need a resistor?

Asked by: jeff the dj
This will need a crossover to protect it from the low end and an L pad may also be necessary to match it to the other drivers in the system. A single resistor will not work well in that application though.

I'm waiting for these to come back in stock to replace the horns in my JBL JRX115 speakers.  The pictures do not appear to indicate which side is positive and which is negative.  Is there any indication on the horn and if not which side is + & - ?

Asked by: cadis12
The positive terminal on this has a bit of red paint on it. When looking at the driver as pictured it is the left hand terminal.

are these good replacement tweeters for my nady power pro pts 1015 500 w peak speakers?

Asked by: spaceman
Unfortunately I do not have any information about the Nady speakers to give you a straight answer. As long as the crossover is 2,500 Hz or higher and they use a 1-3/8" threaded mount these will work fine as replacements.

What is the recommended crossover frequency for this driver?

Asked by: Shredder
I would recommend no less than 3.5kHz at 18dB/octave.

Would this be a suitable tweeter replacement for a Peavey PV12m monitor?

I've got a pair of PV12m that need new horn drivers. I'd like to replace them with something a little better in quality and power handling than the factory ones. I had a Selenium D220Ti on hand I tried swapping on but it's far too sensitive compared to the woofer. I looked up the factory 14T driver and the sensitivity rating is 105db, the same as this one.Would this be a suitable replacement? Is there another driver you would recommend? Thanks
Asked by: camelian
This would be a suitable replacement for the Peavey monitor.
