Pyle PDS182 1.5" Titanium Horn Driver 8 Ohm is rated 4.875 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from ImpressedBought a pair, these of these to install along with 4 of the Dayton pro audio 10 inchers. crossed them over at 2500 @ 24db/oct. Feedin all these drivers with 450 watts per channel of Crown power.... EPIC. sound is detailed and accurate. From Allison Krauss to Vobeat, these things really surprised me. I was a bit worried at the price, but if your having doubts, dont....... I have been hammering these things at soft clipping and they take it in stride and sound good doing it. Even others in the audio feild agree......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Compression Driver!I purchased one of these for a cheap PA speaker build back in January. I've never driven these to their RMS power rating, but I've gotten them pretty close. They have plenty of volume, and sound very clear and bright.I actually just purchased a second one of these for a second cheap PA speaker, so I'd definitely recommend these to someone, they are a great product, especially for under $20!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good bang even @ twice the buckBottom line? These sound good. Very good. Are they as good as a pair of vintage Altecs?... Truth is. In most situations...yes.You can argue specs, and "perceptions" all day long, but the fact is. The proof is in the putting, and unless you're recording @ Abby Road, a single pair these are plenty good wheather it's in your home studio, or med sized club.If you're expecting two 1" drivers to produce enough clean output @ their rated bandwidth to fill a club...without sending someone to the ER with a pair of diaphrams embedded in their forehead...do yourself a favor, and have someone else design a system for you...If , on the other hand...you use them like you should...as in. To add a little high end sparkle to some well chosen full or mid range'rs, you're on the right track. With a 3 way electronic X-over with a sub woofer output...I use these in a D'Appolito array X'd over above 5K w/ 200 WPC, between 2 10" Seleniums high passed above 120hz @ 500 WPC above a seperate dual 15" enclosure loaded with Celestions band passed between 80 and around 350hz, @ 800 WPC.with the bottom end below 100 going to a 2K bass bin.Smaller club...we loose the base bin...smaller still we loose the 2x15 cabs, smaller than that...we bring a few acoustics and a cup. Thanks to Parts Express' great prices, ...and a little patience...I waited a year to get those 15 inchers for under 50 bucks!...my total outlay for drivers was under $600.As always. A little homework time spent on finding drivers that compliment instead of competing with ea other, yeilds predictably better than good results without breaking the bank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised!I bought this driver along with the Dayton Audio H6512 6-1/2" x 12" Waveguide 270-318. I bought this to go along with the Celestion 15" pro woofer currently in the Buyout section 299-418. I selected this driver based on its specs, the fact there weren't any bad reviews, and also on price. Quite honestly price was the deciding factor. I decided to give a pair a try and if I was unhappy with them I could always replace them in the future.I crossed these at 2500 Hz with a pretty simple 2nd order crossover. This driver is rated down to 1500 Hz and the woofer is rated to 3000 Hz so I figured they should work pretty well together. I am driving the speakers with a Carver PM-600 amp through a Behringer mixer. These drivers sound very nice together though the SPL rating of this driver is significantly higher than the woofer. Because of this this driver over powers the woofer unless I dial the treble on the mixer way back. Padding this driver should fix this situation. The more important aspect is that no frequency range seems to be lacking or over represented (at least with the treble dialed down). This driver is also very capable of some very loud output with very little to no distortion. It sounds as nice at low volume as it does at very high volume. Even with "only" 300wpc these are extremely loud. In the near future I am hoping to add another PM-600 and run one for each channel in bridged mono. As it is these play very loud without sounding stressed. Smooth mids and crisp highs. In the future I wouldn't mind trying a higher end driver just to see if there is a difference worth paying for. In the mean time I am very impressed and pleasantly surprised that a driver can sound this good, and this loud, for a price this low!If this drivers specs look like they will meet your needs give it a shot!

As long as the horn uses a standard 1-3/8" 18 TPI mount, this will work fine.
