from DisappointingAfter I received the Pyle PDMN58 speakers I couldn't wait to hear them. So I disconnected my surround left and right front mains and tied these in. I fired up the system and at first I thought they weren't working. Then I realized that the surround speakers were drowning them out. So I put the system into stereo so only the front mains would play. What a disappointment. A very "hollow" sound and inefficient. Had to turn up the volume quite a bit to get enough sound from them to comfortably listen. The specs on these speakers looked pretty good but they do not perform. I sent them back and got a refund. The case construction is "plastic" and they are quite light. I don't know how they could have the published frequency response with such a light weight 6.5" driver. I wasn't expecting these to be a huge performer but my cheap Sony surrounds out performed these speakers in every way.

from Very DisappointingReceived these speakers today. I was going to use them in my surround sound system however after listening to them I am considering sending them back. The specs on the speaker look pretty good but I found them to be inefficient and very hollow sounding. When I first turned on my surround sound I thought these speakers weren't working. All the surround speakers I have in the room were pumping out plenty of sound. Turned out that my surround speakers were just drowning out these speakers. Once I put the receiver into stereo to shut off the surrounds, I had to turn up the volume from 55 to about 75 to get the same level out of these speakers. I also had to turn off my sub-woofer because it was drowning out these speakers at that volume level. I'm very disappointed with these. I've built speakers out of cardboard boxes that sounded better.
