from Good Deal but needs Work.I have 4 of these, I had to open one because went dead. What i discovered just blew my mind. The wiring from the port to the crossover and from the crossover to speakers is made by 26 gauge wires. A joke. It's not MDF. It's regular plywood. The good new is. they just woke up from the dead with 12 gauge wires. The amount of power and middle range is astonishing. I have now 4 new monitors. For the price, yes, buy them, open them right away and rewire them. If you can't do that just stay away from these monitors.

from Great SoundI have used these for a couple gigs so far, and they seem to hold their own. Full sound at lower volume levels. Good low end response and crisp on the high end. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is the build quality of the cabinet. The corners seem to be sloppy(loose) and one of the corner caps has already torn. I would replace the corner caps, but they are a very odd shape!

from Very Good Performance, Great value.I bought one of these to serve as 45 degree floor monitor for a small string band's gig at a bar/grill. The stage was small, the house system poor. And the band had always had problems hearing their performance through the house. What I liked about this monitor off the bat, is the high efficiency. Big sound for little power. That meant less amplifier power, less weight to carry, but more importantly, my total electrical load could be controlled to remain small enough for standard Edison wiring. This is a big issue in small venues. It's not the smallest footprint on a cramped stage, but it's smaller than some, and construction is robust enough for dragging around from job to job, but light enough to handle without getting back sore. The open horn I'm not wild about. I'd rather have it behind the grille. But, with a little care, that's a small matter.Sound is full, and clear. Frequency response is broad, and fairly flat in real world use. Distortion is low. And there's a lot of sound with small inputs. They're not Klipsch, but they're not bad. The band could hear, for the first time, what they really sounded like in the mix. Which had hilarious impact on their performance. But that's not the monitors' fault.Set up was fast, with Speakon connectivity. Takedown was just as fast. Sound check and monitor mix were effortless, unlike some monitors that are less uniform in response and dispersion.Utility, build quality, good sound, and efficiency. For this price, tough to beat. Actually, for full retail price, they're tough to beat. Side by side with JBL stage monitors, you can hear the difference in sound, see the difference in build quality. But these Pyle Pro's hold their own well, and I can say that I can recommend them without reservation, regardless of the job and your budget. So much so, that I've bought 3 more.

from Pyle Pro PASC12 ReviewCabinet is constructed of a nice thickness of particle wood. Interior insulation is light density black polyester fiber loosely fitted. Horn is a fixed medium quality driver. Sub-woofer is also medium quality. Exterior of cabinet is vinyl coated, not carpeted like most of today's speakers and stage monitors. Plastic corners may crack in cold weather. Crossover network is medium quality. Best feature is the number of available connections: 2x-1/4", 2x-speakon, and 2x-bear-wire and banana plugs. Overall this is a nice medium quality stage monitor with nice performance.
