Pyle P3001AT 3000W Amplifier with Preamp & AM/FM Tuner
Pyle P3001AT 3000W Amplifier with Preamp & AM/FM Tuner is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time and money on this amp.I bought this amp a few years to play Christmas carols for a few weeks. It played for about 8 hours a day for two weeks then I packed it up and put it in a closet. Yesterday I pulled it out again to hook up to two 8 ohm speakers to power a set of electronic drums. It worked for about 30 minutes then one side blew. Basically this amp was switched on for less than 65 hours in its entire life and now one side failed. The fan is annoyingly loud as well and comes on immediately when the first signal is detected. There's NO WAY this amp has 3000 watts! Pyle has always way overstated the power output of their products. I don’t know how they can be allowed to exaggerate their power like that. I bought the amp because it was cheap not for the power rating, but I'd be surprised if this amp even has 100 watts per channel. I won’t be buying Pyle products again any time soon … you certainly get what you pay for with this company.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pyle P3001AT 3000wattThe first one didn't have screws to hold speaker outputs in place. The second one worked great about 20 minutes then the display went black. The third one is great, so far. I do sound on the side and needed an amp for the shop for my other work. This amp has great input options, and the mic inputs allows me to test a mic and many other things, without setting up a complete P-A.Not 3000 watts, by their description. The best thing about this amp is Parts-Express, they made this purchase a great idea, because they take care of their customers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Got what I paid for.Pyle is not a well known brand for quality but I thought I'd give this a try anyway. As soon as I powered it up I knew it was a mistake. The unit had an insane amount of buzzing from the speakers no matter what input was connected. The sound was also very imbalanced with one channel all treble and the other all bass. Parts Express however was great to deal with on the return and I have a Crown unit coming to replace this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Karaoke amp!I got this amp hooked up to my computer with 2 pairs of Klipsch speakers and a powered subwoofer. It has amazing power, and with the mic jacks and mix level, the kids love it for karaoke.. I have only one complaint. There is lots of hiss from the speakers even with the volume all the way down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality product, outstanding performance for priceA product like this is *extremely* useful in situations like multi-room music systems. We have used this product in our business, and it is able to safely and inexpensively power multiple pairs of speakers (impedance-matched of course, yielding 300Wpc peak @ 8 Ohm) simultaneously. The interface is fairly simple, but awkward to read -- too many lights & symbols, though it's clearly designed for people who like that. It worked fine right out of the box. However, it needs a large amount of ventilation so the top should be kept completely open (air inlets) and the rear fan exhaust as well. The fan makes a significant amount of noise when it kicks in, which is often, so it would be best if this amp were placed in an isolated area. The including rack mounts can be removed for shelf installation. The remote is simple, thankfully. This is an ideal multi-room / light commercial amp & preamp. I hope Pyle Pro builds upon this start with better products.

How do you connect the equalizer to this unit with RCA jack connector on equalizer?

Asked by: tgp1969
This unit does not feature a preout/main in loop or switchable tape loop so the only way to use an EQ would be to place it between the source and this unit.

I just bought a home that has speakers in each room for house music, the owner told me I need to hook up a fm receiver "pre amp" to them because there is an amp for the system in the attic already.  Does this have pre amp outputs?

Asked by: JVitto
Yes this does have preamp outputs.

Thanks Greg T. ... now a big problem. I finally stumbled on how to tune in a numerical FM station. A lot of stations were somehow automatically installed but only one I liked. Now I install stations in #1 only next one #1 again etc.

how do you attach speaker wire with those 8 strange thumbscrews?

Asked by: bob43
When the binding posts are unscrewed, their is a gap behind it to allow the speaker wire to be secured when the post is screwed back down.

is the sub out powerful enough to power a woofer or does it have to be hooked to a powered sub

Asked by: speaker freack
The subwoofer output is line level only which means it can only be hooking up to a powered subwoofer.
