Rated 5 out of 5 by from This horn has excellent high's.Yes, I am using this horn coupled to a Selenium D220TIhorn driver on my home system. This horn, in this combination, has the best high's I've ever heard in a home system, too.On other high quality tweeters, for example, cymbals soundvery similar if not the same from song to song and album to album. Not so with this tweeter. Each cymbal crash comesthrough pronounced, and vocal "t's," and "s's"are pure with no sibilance. I have this horn combo crossed-over at 1.9 KHz, and it does great. I've had other horn tweeter's and planar's, and I've heard quite a few speakers, and this tweeter is top notch, even for a home system.

PRV Audio WG 11-25 1" 45 x 45 ABS Waveguide 1-3/8"-18

Looking to fit a 1 inch Aluminum Tweeter in there somehow. However, I am thinking home theater application. Question is, will the horns change the tweeter sound at all if placed where supposed?. Not sure of the difference

Asked by: JDR1
You will need to determine where the horn diameter or width matches the tweeter dome size, and then cut the horn there and glue the tweeter to the back of the horn. The horn will have measurable and audible impact on the sound of the tweeter, so you may prefer to use a tweeter driver that already has a horn-loaded faceplate where measured data is available showing the impact on the horn's sound. This wouldn't be something you would want to attempt without having measurement gear (such as the OmniMic package) to check your results.

can I use this one with PRV D250 PH-S

Asked by: jayson
Yes this will work with any 1-3/8" threaded driver although this horn is only good to about 1,200 Hz so it will be the limiting factor with a midrange type compression driver.
