Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little woofer !I bought a pair of these for my computer speakers. I'm very impressed with the quality and sound. Excellent midrange - vocals and guitar are very nice. They will play very loud if you want them to - I have them high passed at 120HZ and they will scream with 100 watts and stay nice and clear or you can cross them lower and get some midbass but you have to watch the power level.Overall I'm very impressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ValueI purchased four of these and after unboxing them three of the four had slight damage to the mouting flange. Once I fixed them and got them mounted they sound great. A great value and would purchase again.

PRV Audio 6MB200-4 6-1/2" Midbass Woofer 4 Ohm

will the speaker fit into door of my 2001 Chevy Silverado truck

Asked by: mobboss

I just got 2 PRV Audio 6MB200-4 6-1/2" Midbass Woofer 4 Ohm and you suggested using a 20 Ohm resistor / What wattage rating should I use?

Asked by: Semispoter
Depends on what the resistor will be used for. Usually a resistor is not used on a woofer except in a zobel or notch circuit. If the resistor is being used for a piezo tweeter, a 20 watt, 20 ohm is usually recommended.

Would this speaker be a good match for the gold wood gt 520 tweeter?

Asked by: Drewpy
They will well together, this tweeter has a good sensitivity that will work with the woofer output

What length and diameter port would be best in a .51cubic ft cabinet? Thx.

Asked by: Drewpy
I would recommend a port that is 2-1/2" in diameter and 2" long for a tuning frequency of 77 Hz.

Am I wrong in saying that these don't go low enough in car applications? Seems like it would need to go down to at least 80hz to cross well with a sub.

Asked by: 500merc
These are popular in systems where output is the primary focus and they will cross them between 150 and 200 HZ. A lot of these will even use a 8 or 10 inch in between the mids and subs, crossing the subs between 40 and 60 Hz.
