Completely write up your project before submitting.
It is best that you completely write up your project content prior to posting as this will give you the time to do your best writing (spell checking, completeness). Once written you will just copy/paste your content into the submission form. Please review existing projects so you fully understand the type of content needed to describe a project in the appropriate category. The submission form is different for each type of category in the Project Gallery.
No editing functionality once project is submitted.
Once a project is posted in the Project Gallery the system does not have any editing functions for the submitter or by Parts Express. If you feel your posted project has errors you can request to have the project deleted. You then can resubmit the project with the corrections or improvements included.
Add your project in the right category.
Add your project to the most appropriate category of the Project Gallery. Parts Express reserves the right to move your project to the most appropriate category or reject your submission based on poor quality, missing information, duplication of content or copyright infringement issues. Navigate to the category you wish to submit your project under and then click on the "Add Your Project" link.
Follow posted guidelines for acceptable content.
The following inclusion in your project copy will lead to rejection/removal of your projects: obscenities, discriminatory language, language not suitable for a public forum, advertisements, "spam" content, or references to other products, offers, or websites including email addresses, URLs, phone numbers, physical addresses or other forms of contact information.
Photo Upload Requirements.
Organize all of the photos of your project prior to submission. Each photo needs to have a descriptive caption (up to 150 characters) submitted. Maximum 20 pictures of less than 5 MB each. Pictures must be at least 250 pixels wide by 250 pixels tall - the ideal size is 400 pixels wide by 250 pixels tall or 350 pixels square. It is best if all pictures are the same height and width (BMP, PNG, GIF, or JPG). Very Important: the first picture uploaded will be the main picture and should be the best picture of the completed project. Pictures will show in the order that you upload them so make sure they are in a logical step by step order.
