Dayton SD270-88 10" Shielded DVC Subwoofer
I use this driver in 2.3 cu. ft. with a 3" x 9 3/8" port and my friends and I are always amazed by how well this sub works...so much that I've built a few for others to replace their much-more-expensive brand name units. The 70 watt sub amp also works well with this driver. For music, this sub is detailed and not boomy in any way. I don't use mine for HT, so I can't comment on that aspect, but considering the sound quality, I'm sure it would keep up with most similar-sized retail HT subs for far less money. The driver is well-constructed and the shielding is quite effective. Mine is located about 20" from my JVC 32" tube-type monitor and it does not affect the screen in any way. In the correct box, this driver is a definite over-achiever.

Dayton RSS265HF-4 10" Reference HF Subwoofer 4 Ohm
I've had this speaker for about a year. I use it in a optimal Q sealed enclosure; about .92 ft3. It's smooth roll off and low distortion yeild good bass down to about 30Hz. I use it for HT and music with small 5" ported satillites. This sub is not real punchy but it sounds realistic and loud, especially with acoustic jazz. I'll be ordering the twelve inch version soon.

Dayton QT255-4 10" Quatro Subwoofer 4 Ohm
Following it's kin of the Dayton family, this sub is apparently meant to do as stated. It mates very well to small autos trunk or hatch and makes use of a very small enclosure. This is where you will have to be careful that you are not needing a sub integration with a lower F3. Installed in a low Q sealed (.5cft), a single 10 performed well in a hardtop sebring and I'm quite sure it would do the same if not better in a small hatchback. Very punchy with a fair of amount of mid bass. Extension is there more than it is on paper and the 200 watts is true to it's rating. It is built around cabin gain/transfer function and does a good job in such. Ported, however, may leave more to be desired as it does not extend well and will highly need an subsonic filter. Still, for the small sealed enclosure use and 5 year warranty backing, it beats most in it's price range.

Dayton RSS265HO-4 10" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm
I was quite skeptical at first because of the seemingly low 12mm xmax. I decided to try it anyway because of the small footprint enclosure needed and the decent F3 which mates good in autos.
Let me tell ya! Totally impressed with this sub. Even in a .6 Qtc alignment fed with 450rms @ 12.9 volts, it has a deep and smooth punch similar of larger woofers. Extension is pretty low yet clean without any excessive overhang. This sub plays low notes (if you're wondering) with a finesse that qualifies it as a sound quality sub. It is capable of some decent loudness, so don't doubt it! The 12mm xmax is obviously getting used efficiently.
I listen to Jazz, R&B, Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, Techno Bass, and Alternative and it is still easy to integrate into the front stage if midwoofers are decent.
A simple must have for those that don't want to waste space.

Goldwood GW-410D 10" Poly DVC Subwoofer
I used this subwoofer to replace the 10" one that was destroyed by my cat. Perfect replacement for those non powered subs that connect to two satellite speakers. The price was what sold me!!!!

10" Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer
I guess for $25, I shouldn't complain. I bought this sub because I only needed to spend a little bit more to get free shipping and because I had an empty 10" box that needed a sub.
It works ok at low volumes, but seems to distort easily and unpredictably. I'm powering it in parallel with one channel of a 100W/channel stereo receiver, so maybe my amp isn't 4 ohm stable.
I feel like if it's rated for 150W RMS/300W MAX, I should be able to push it pretty hard with a 100W amp without worrying.

Aurum Cantus AC-250F1D 10" DVC Woofer
Just found two of these dead after using them for roughly a week. Each speaker had their DVCs wired in series. Then each of the speakers were wired in parallel. System power was within limits for a pair of these. Not impressed. I've been building speakers for roughly ten years and have never had this experience.

Peerless 830452 XLS 10" Subwoofer
Installed this sub-woofer in a 30 liter enclosure, along with a matching passive radiator. With the 240 watt Dayton amp, it is quite loud & smooth down below 20 Hz. Very pleased!
