Power-Sonic PS-1290 Sealed Lead Acid Battery 12V 9Ah

Power-Sonic PS Series rechargeable sealed lead acid batteries are leaders in their field. They adhere to industry-standard form factors, but lead the way in high tech features and competitive pricing.

Each battery uses valve regulated, spill-proof construction, and is made of rugged ABS plastic, allowing for safe operation in any position. While these batteries have an extended shelf life and may be quite useable up to one year after being charged, Power-Sonic recommends recharging at least once every six months for maximum battery life. The PS Series are humidity-resistant and can be discharged over a temperature range of -40° F to +140° F. Connection by F2 quick disconnect (0.25" x 0.032").

Power-Sonic PS-1290 Sealed Lead Acid Battery 12V 9Ah

How long would this power a Lepai 2020a+ at medium volume.  Thank you.

Asked by: Mart531i
There are no exact numbers, but I have this same battery on a similar amplifier (Dayton DTA-1) and I can get more than 10 hours with pretty substantial volume. I have yet to kill the battery under normal use.

power source

is there a power source that I could use with this battery that would run a car audio head unit and charge the battery at the same time?
Asked by: MickD
Unfortunately we have no such device, we only offer a charger for the battery or a power source.

Would this battery power a car audio head running a pair of speakers and if so for how long? If not what would be the best way to power this ?

Want to build a portable music system for my patio.
Asked by: MickD
This is certainly capable of powering a head unit, but the time will really hinge on the current that the head unit draws in amps. IT is difficult to gauge time since the lighting and volume level variations will change the current draw and an AH spec is based on a consistent draw.
