Pioneer's Champion Series subwoofers feature an all-new design and look. All areas of performance have been increased over Pioneer's prior generation of subwoofers. 350 watts RMS power handling (1,200 watts max) really gets things cranking on your daily commute. Purpose-built for sealed enclosures from 0.65 to 1.25 cubic feet. Double stacked magnets create a high power motor assembly for a high sensitivity of 93 dB @ 1W/1m.
IMPP Composite Seamless Cone
An extremely durable, yet lightweight cone is vital to prevent a cone failure at high sound pressure levels. Pioneer's new IMPP composite seamless cone meets this need perfectly while delivering accurate yet powerful bass and increasing sensitivity.
Dual-layer Elastic Polymer Surround
Another world's first from Pioneer. The dual-layer elastic polymer surround dramatically improves durability and lightness for superior response, especially at louder volumes. It also prevents against fatigue created by the extreme temperature swings present in car audio environments.
Larger Surface Area
It's been said that "there's no replacement for displacement", and that's especially true with regards to bass. A speaker's cone is the single most important element in a speaker, as it directly vibrates air that then travels sound to listeners’ ears. Pioneer's Champion Series subwoofer cones have 14% more surface area than conventional subwoofer cones for louder bass reproduction.
Vented Pole Piece
Pioneer designed the Champion Series with a vented pole piece to promote movement of air within the subwoofer. The vent is smoothly channeled for optimal ventilation to ensure a quick response and clear reproduction of bass, reducing the compression that results from trapped air during heavy bass passages.
Includes six 1-1/8" self-tapping screws and an adhesive-backed foam gasket.
