from Great component setThis is exactly the same speaker as the premier that sells at cutchfield for almost half the price. Also these are awesome sounding speakers. I installed these in my 03 suburban.

from Excellent sound quality and imagingI installed this set in my 1986 Jaguar XJ6. The mids are in the stock door pod and the tweeters are in the kick panel. The set is powered by the front channels of a vintage Rockford 360.6 and utilize a high-pass crossover at 60 hz/12 db per octave. The sound quality is very good. Open and airy with excellent imaging and a wide soundstage. Even with the kick panel location for the tweeter the soundstage is at the proper height (above the dash) eliminating the need for additional tweeters in the dash or a-pillar to compensate. As suggested by the prior reviewer, they are not made for SPL. However, if running with a subwoofer and the components utilizing a HP filter output should not be an issue for most sane individuals. I have no issues driving on the highway with the windows down in my noisy antique car - still plenty of volume. The set really excels on acoustic sets and both male/female vocals. No sibilance or harshness to the tweeter. However, it does suffer from compression if overdriven. Make sure to set your levels properly (as with any small neo dome typical of car audio sets).Frankly, this set outperforms both the Infinity components in my wife's vehicle and the older set of Boston's I removed from the Jag when installing the new system. The mids blend quite nicely with the two 10" subs and have brought the entire soundstage more squarely into the front of the vehicle. Highly recommended for mid-powered applications.

from Nothing ImpressiveAfter building a set of speakers and falling in love with parts express and their great deals, I thought I found another great deal. These speakers sound good at moderate levels, but cannot handle high volume or high power listening. I'm sure they would improve a stock radio ten fold, but if you like to enjoy music loud to where you can feel it, don't get these. After building my own home speakers and becoming familiar with decent speaker quality, I felt like I got really ripped off with these. If these speakers were marketed as replacement drivers/tweeters for home stereo they would probably cost less than $50 for both pairs. I really got sold on the whole marketing scam that makes car audio so much more expensive.
