Absolute fidelity to the music source requires speakers to reproduce not only instruments and vocals, but also the subtle cues within the ambiance of the recording location. Stage size, musicians' movement, aural reflection and other distinctive details all bring sound to life.
Various materials are carefully combined to develop a diaphragm of extra lightness and rigidity to reproduce sound clearly with outstanding responsiveness sensitivity and a suitable degree of internal loss. A Series speakers feature a multilayer mica matrix cone where a surface containing mica properly maintains the cone’s superior rigidity and internal loss while another layer makes excellent use of light, water-resistant material.
Not only does Pioneer's TS-A1675R 6-1/2" speaker embody the definition of high fidelity through the use of an advanced cone material, it is built with a lightweight elastic polymer surround to maintain high sensitivity. Three individual speakers are used to lower distortion, with each driver being devoted to the audio band best suited to its size.
A 2-1/4" cone midrange is built in to reproduce the critical midrange with detail, passing the highs off to the 3/8" dome tweeter for outstanding off-axis response. Redesigned grills are included. Sold in pairs.
