Four channels of power are available from Pioneer's GM-D8604 Class FD amplifier to power your entire system. The bridgeable design also allows the this amplifier to be configured as a two or three channel amplifier without a reduction in total amplifier output power. Built-in electronic crossovers are able to be set to high pass or low pass, for each set of stereo channels, for setting the amplifier output up for front, rear, or subwoofers. RCA outputs offer you the ability to daisy-chain amplifiers for large systems.
Big Power, Small Size
Pioneer's new extra-efficient Class FD digital amplifiers mark a dramatic improvement in power output capability, yet are 50% smaller than the current GM Series Class AB amplifiers. That makes them more versatile in terms of installation as well as performance.
Improved Circuit Design
To prevent circuit shutdown, Pioneer's new digital amplifier circuit "Protection Control System" senses its internal temperature and automatically moderates input level accordingly. Stable, durable circuitry reduces the risk of an over-temperature condition, allowing for as low as a 1Ω speaker connection (when connected to a single channel and not bridged). This design enhances the flexibility to connect multiple subwoofers to a system.
Variable Low Pass and High Pass Filters
For extra flexibility, variable low pass and high pass filters are adjustable from 40 to 500 Hz to dial in your speakers according to your system requirements, subwoofer location, and personal listening taste. Each filter features a -12 dB/octave slope.
Speaker Level Inputs
The GM-D8604 includes speaker level (high level) to RCA (low level) adapters to allow you to connect your factory audio system (or any unit that doesn't have the typical RCA-type inputs) to the amplifier without having to buy add-on adapters. The install goes faster, you save money, and you've got a Pioneer amp in your vehicle.
