Penn-Elcom R1438 6" Flying Track Extrusion

hi i would like to know how to use the Penn-Elcom R1438 6" Flying Track Extrusion as i intend to use it for diy line arrays and what to be use along.

Asked by: PATRICKCHAN
Hi, These are great fly tracks. You will need to use a pair for each speaker. You will also need recessed bolts and backing plates that are available from Parts Express also. Then you need to select the rings that fit into the track based on the weight of the speakers you are going to fly. With most line arrays, either size that Parts Express sells will work fine. Be sure and find the balance point of your speakers which is typically not in the middle due to the weight of the driver components being mostly in front of the speaker cablinet. You don't have to have the perfect balance point since the fly tracks allow for quite a bit of weight distribution, but get it close. I use these exclusively on my custom built speakers, both line array and horizontal arrays. They ROCK
