Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speaker stand mount bracketEasy to install. Requires1 1/2 inch hole in speaker cabinet for 1 3/8 stand pole. Very strong. Much better than plastic brackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy mountsUsing these for some pretty heavy full-range tops in our rock band. They're just right. Especially, they're not too long and don't intrude so much into the speaker cabinet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Top HatI was so glad to find that you had a replacement Top Hat for a speaker cabinet. My original one was plastic so I was extra pleased to find that you had a steel replacement. It fits the stand shaft perfectly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from all goodGood product. Good price. Installs easily and securely. These need to be torqued into the cabinet rather well so I was glad I went with the steel version of this product.

Penn-Elcom M1551 Steel Speaker Mounting Top Hat for 1-3/8" Tripod Stand

so if I want my main speaker to be held securely above the sub by a foot or more, would I use 2 of these? In other words, one could go into the top panel of a sub, and a second one into the bottom panel of a main, and then a tube between the two?

Asked by: blakelyb
Yes that is correct, you could use two of these for that application.

Good replacement for my RCF subwoofer pole mount?

I have an RCF ART 705 subwoofer. I've been putting my Wharfdale 15" full range speakers (mobile DJ type, about 45#) on a straight pole on top of the sub. A clubber yanked it pretty good and the speaker cup on the sub (aluminum with RCF logo) and it broke. I need to replace the cup with the strongest friggin' thing you've got.
Asked by: DJ FugAmI
This is a one piece steel design so it is very strong. As long as the mount you are replacing is 1-3/8" this should work pefectly.
