Peerless 830986 3" Full Range Woofer
I have a boombox by sirius subx1r-1006006092, can this woofer be used as a replacement..Thank You
Unfortunately we do not have any kind of cross reference for this type of thing. The dimensions for this speaker are one the website. You can compare these to the original speaker, along with impedance to see if it will be a good match.

the hole in my speaker box is 2 1/2 this is the size of the speakers a need
I need to replace my 4 jbl 135/sat speakers in the manual said is a 3'' speaker, is 3'' or 2 1/2 speaker.Peerless 830986 3" Full Range Woofer fit in my speaker box
The size you need to look for is the total speaker diameter, in this case 3". The hole sizes will not all be the same however, so you will need to double check the cutout diameters to make sure it will fit a 2-1/2" diameter opening.

I am wanting to place 4 of these drivers into a suitable box and have the drivers facing up/down/left/right to better envelope the room, can someone ofer any advice on this project
The recommended enclosure for four of these is almost .5 cubic feet which is quite large. These won't be able to play much lower than 120 Hz anyway so box size really doenst make much difference.

What would be the best type of enclosure/dimensions to make an ipod dock with 2 of these in it?
i have 2 of these drivers so what should my air space be? and should i stuff this thing? proper dimensions for best sound? port size for 2 drivers?
These should do well in approximately 0.50ft³ with a 2" x 2" port tube. Stuffing would be a matter of personal preference; the amount of stuffing that sounds best to you is the "right" amount.

what size box?
What size box will i need to get all i can get out of this speaker? I would like 50 hz if the speaker will do it like it says.
This driver will produce 50 Hz., just not in useful quantities. 85- 15,000 Hz. might be a more appropriate estimate of its performance. The driver is good to 50 Hz.(in theory, your mileage may vary) with a box 4 inches wide x 9 inches tall x 10-9/16 inches deep (inside dimensions) with a 1 inch hole in the front (port).Loose stuffing to mostly fill box interior. Don't block the port with it. I recommend crossing at 4000 Hz. with a good tweeter for best results. Use 1/2 inch plywood or MDF.
