Each Digitool model features a full-color display screen, front navigation and editing controls, front panel input and output mute buttons and LED meters to simply configuration. They can also be configured using a Windows application via USB or Ethernet. The Digitool MX 16 is an 8 input, 8 output configuration designed primarily for small to medium fixed installation projects. This product is strategically placed to be the go to product for those jobs that do not require the complexity of MediaMatrix products, nor the need for transferring audio over a network.
There is one stereo AES input, and 8 CV "control voltage" inputs that can be programmed as level and mute controls, as well as an RS-485 input for external control of level, mute and preset recall. The front-panel USB port can be used for quick for setup in the field, and there's also a rear-panel Ethernet port for configuration in permanent installations.
