Visaton W170S-4 6.5" Woofer with Treated Paper Cone 4 Ohm
Visaton's 9024 W170S 6-1/2" woofer features a coated paper cone, durable rubber surround, and a bumped back plate to allow all 4.25 mm of Xmax to be used with an excursion limit of ±10 mm. A very balanced and extended frequency response allows the W170S to be used as a woofer in small two-way speakers or a midbass/midrange in three-way speakers, with a crossover point as high as 6,800 Hz, or even as a small form-factor subwoofer! This allows you to build a surround sound system with large speakers for front and left, while maintaining the same voicing in smaller surround satellite speakers.
Note: For best bass performance, install the W170S into one of the following cabinets:
• A 0.71 cubic foot sealed cabinet (F3 will be 57 Hz with a Qtc of 0.74).
• A 0.71 cubic foot cabinet tuned to 44 Hz with a 2" diameter port that is 5-1/2" long.
• A 1.06 cubic foot cabinet tuned to 39 Hz with a 2-1/2" diameter port that is 4-3/4" long.
• A 1.77 cubic foot cabinet tuned to 33 Hz with a 2-1/2" diameter port that is 5-7/8" long.
