Bravox component speaker sets represent the ultimate in car audio sound quality and are tuned to match perfectly with Bravox subwoofers. The CS50K 5-1/4" component speaker system was designed to provide a solid stereo image. A Kevlar® cone is used for the 5-1/4" woofer for extremely clean, accurate, and dynamic midbass, while a butyl rubber surround and Kapton® former voice coil offer durability and extreme power handling. A glass-fiber frame is used for a rigid, stable platform, for highly detailed midrange and a Conex® spider provides long term mechanical stability.
A liquid-cooled, neodymium powered 1" aluminum dome tweeter provides articulate frequency response, as well as high SPL, and can be flush or surface mounted using the included mounting hardware. For seamless transition from the woofer to the tweeter, Bravox built the custom 4th-order Linkwitz-Riley 2-way crossover with a 0/-3 dB attenuation circuit switch that tailors the sound according to the installation. For low microphonics and longevity, Bravox only uses polypropylene capacitors in their crossovers.
