I purchased this to repair my rear hatch door lock on my '02 Escape. I found out about this through a car forum and what a deal. The factory OEM parts were near $100.00. Only one "complaint" to mention- it's a little bit noisy but worth the savings!

I bought this to repair the rear hatch lock of my 2002 Escape. You have to have a few tools and a just a bit of mechanical ability to create a new link from the pieces they supply, but it has worked out great!

Like was stated before, mounts easily in Ford Escape rear hatch with modification using rod supplied with kit. Splice the wires and it works great. A little noisier than the stock one, but as opposed to the stock one, this one works all the time regardless of temp. Price was great!

I used this part to replace a faulty rear hatch lock in my 2002 Ford Escape when it intermittently quit working. I did have to splice wires and adapt the old rod to the new motor (I cut the end off the old rod then glued/taped a zip tie onto it) as others have noted, but now at least I can open my door. Took me a couple of hours but that's because I was a liberal arts major.

I bought this $10 part to replace a rear liftgate actuator for a 2001 Ford Escape. The Ford stealership wanted $140 for the part. I had it installed within 20 minutes and it works great. I would definitely buy again from Parts Express.

at 1/5th the cost of the OM uniy, this actuator worked out very well in replacing the rear hatch door lock actator.
It looks the same except for the plunger and color.
I had to create a new adapter to connect the plunger to the lock and I did this by bending and cutting the rod that came with the unit.
Im very happy with the result.

Bought this to replace the rear hatch lock solenoid on my 2001 Ford Escape. Took one hour to replace. It matched the mounting of the OEM and I used the included rod to match to the factory latch. Works like a dream, and I saved $135.00 versus the Ford Assembly.
