For REMOTE TURN ON -- READ THIS!!! Tuesday, September 1, 2009
Phy6 from DC
As noted by other users, this socket is NOT wired for remote turn on. You can use a long metal pick to remove and reposition the the socket sleeves, but it's a pain. You will also want to cut that loop of wire, and the diode is facing the wrong way. So for remote turn on applications (car audio), just buy a regular socket with all the wires, and put the diode in yourself. (Diode protects components from EMF spikes). Liquid electrical tape from a local W*lmart will seal up that exposed diode nicely.

5 Pin? Wednesday, January 28, 2009
Parts Express Customer from Unknown Location
It says 5 pin, but only has 4, and for some wierd reason, the "normally closed" terminal is used instead of the highly used "normally open"

Parts Express Customer from Unknown Location
I needed to get an electric fan installed in my car to get to a car gathering and with the help of a friend, we got it working. And I was able to meet up with my friends. Thanks.
