Neodymium Bar Magnet 1" x 1/4" x 1/4"

I always like to keep magnets around for various projects and have used PE Neodymium round ones in many ways. When I saw these tiny bar magnets I decided to try them.
WOW is the best word I can come up with. These are by far the strongest magnets I have ever had. My computer desk has a solid 1 1/4 inch oak top and they have no problem sticking to each other through the thick oak. I have more fun handing a pair to my buddies and letting them try to get them apart.
Do not use these to hang notes on the fridge. You need to slide them to an edge to be able to pull them off!

I bought four of these magnets for the use for my car I placed two on each side of driver and passenger and ever since when i drive to a street light the light always turns green immediately. (These are amazing and save me time going to work!)

I bought these with the intention of working through some grade school science projects with my child and found that the magnets were very, very strong, but also very brittle. The chrome plating soon falls/chips apart from mere slapping together. Even had one magnet crack in half when connecting with another in the palm of my hand. Parts Express replaced it at no cost though, so still well worth the purchase now knowing how to handle them.
