Designed to be mounted vertically for use as a surround sound speaker, the Goldwood GB-LCR5 features two 5-1/4" woven Kevlar woofers with butyl rubber surrounds to deliver warm mids and stunning bass. A pivoting 1" silk and Titanium dome tweeter, using a 12dB crossover with a Mylar capacitor, reproduces amazing clarity and superb highs. A +3/-3 dB level adjustment to the tweeter allows it to seamlessly blend with other speakers. I have three of these behind my AT screen running as Left, Right and Center speakers in my 7.1 setup. I built rigid frames for the speakers that are attached to the framing of the wall to eliminate any possible rattling.

Power handling is modest, but as these speakers are rather efficient (for home speakers), good volume can be reached in a medium-sized room.

Even with my screen in front of the speakers, they have crisp highs and nice lows, although with only 5 1/4" Mids, you'll want a subwoofer.

At under a hundred bucks a piece, these are tough to beat in the bang-for-buck category.
