Works well
Monday, November 30, 2009
bfisher from Charlotte NC

Paired up with a Dayton APA-150 - works well. Mounted 2 directly to the couch. Adds nice feel to the bass. Won't blow you away, but adds depth. Much more and it would be distracting I think.

Works great in addition to a sub
Wednesday, November 25, 2009
Jared from Van Wert, Ohio

I bought one to start with, but I felt I needed a little more rumble so I picked up a second. I have them hooked up to an AudioSource AMP102. I'm happy with them. I'd never replace my subwoofer with transudcers, but they work excellent in addition to a sub.

I think they might need a little more juice to reach their optimal performance. I ran one of them off my 300 watt subwoofer amp for a while, and I noticed a definite drop in performance when I swapped amps. If I could do it over again I'd probably have invested in a more powerful amp.

Other than seeming to be a bit power hungry they work well. They add a lot of extra punch. I've used them for music, movies, and games, and I love the effect.

Realistic bass sensations without the volume.
Tuesday, November 17, 2009
John from South Dakota

I ordered this because I have always enjoyed strong bass in every system of mine, car or home. Maybe that is why my hearing has become sensitive to loud volume. I had added another HT sub but that made my ears ring. As a solution I installed the TST209 on my couch with a 75 watt rms amp. I have no experience with any similar products but am extremely impressed with how closely this mimics the physical sensations of strong bass normally only found in a quality audio system. This is definitely not one note bass. I have it crossed over at 50hz with a 12db slope and can feel the changes in frequency of various sound effects during movies. Would make a great addition to any HT system.
