Dayton APA150 150W Power Amplifier

We use these amps in many situations. For cost effective ceiling speaker amps in residential applications and light commercial. Their output is plenty for most applications. I would not drive subs or a primary speakers system with them.

This amp. performed very good for my application. I had a set of computer speakers that the amp. shorted out on. I replaced it with this amp. and a crossover (from parts express) and it sounds better then the original setup. This amp. has very low distortion and is quite musical. It has plenty of power for my application but may not for a large room stereo. I all like the fact that you can run it mono as a sub amp.. It even has it's owen crossover.

I was working within a tight budget for a 7.1 home theatre system upgrade and decided to go with this amp paired with a high end AV/processor and was shocked at how good this amp is for the price. I ordered a total of seven and they all worked out-of-the-box. They were an audible improvement over some 160wpc Yamaha amps they were replacing. My only complaint is the auto-on function on two of them did not work accurately but that's not a show stopper. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. Also, kudos to Parts Express. I placed the order Monday morning and the amps were on my front porch Wednesday afternoon.
